WordPress 3.6 “OSCAR”

A WordPress 3.6, come le precedenti versioni, è stato dato il nome di un famoso jazzista: Oscar Peterson.

Fra le novità più importanti troviamo molti miglioramenti per i siti con più autori:  la nuova funzionalità di Post Locking permette di lavorare in modo più tranquillo, inviando degli avvisi in tempo reale quando più persone stanno modificando lo stesso documento. Inoltre ogni utente ha il suo flusso di auto-salvataggi, che viene salvato sia sul server sia localmente nel browser, in modo da rendere molto difficile la perdita accidentale del contenuto.

Nuova gestione dei menu, più semplice e intuitiva.

Media Player HTML 5 per il playback nativo di video e audio.

Le nuove revisioni degli articoli salvano ogni singolo cambiamento.

Il nuovo tema standard di wordpress Twenty Thirteen, ispirato dall’arte moderna, è ottimizzato per il mobile e la riproduzione di contenuti multimediale. L’ideale per chi cerca un blog semplice e visivamente accattivante.

Un nuovo sistema di login, impedisce di perdere il lavoro sui contenuti, se per caso vi trovaste improvvisamente “tagliati fuori” dal backend a causa di connessione caduta o simili problemi.

WPML – WordPress Multilingua

Anche WPML, la componente che permette al tuo sito di “parlare” più lingue è stato aggiornato. Qui le novità più importanti.

Miglioramenti per quanto riguarda il versante SEO: se si sceglie l’opzione di mostrare il contenuto in lingua originale quando mancano le traduzioni, WPML ora marca quel contenuto come contenuto duplicato, in modo che google non penalizzi il tuo sito quando lo “legge”.

Risolto il problema dei contenuti di una pagina duplicati due volte su alcuni temi, in alcune condizioni molto specifiche.

Possibilità di avere il selettore della lingua con solo le bandiere e visualizzato come riga (e non come lista) su tutti i temi grafici.

Per tutti quelli che utilizzano il servizio ICanLocalize, è ora possibile selezionare “tutte le lingue” quando viene inviato un nuovo documento in traduzione. Inoltre è ora possibile riassegnare un lavoro di traduzione ad un altro traduttore.

Gravity Forms

Gravity Forms, lo strumento che consente di creare e gestire i moduli di prenotazione (e di contatto), è passato dalla versione 1.6.x alla versione 1.7.9.

Striking

Il nostro tema “standard” è stato aggiornato alla versione 5.2.1.

Questo rilascio include un aggiornamento di tutti gli script (codici) degli slideshow, nonché un aggiornamento allo script di GoogleMaps, per stare dietro ai cambiamenti fatti da Google sulla sua piattaforma di mappe.

E’ stato inoltre aggiornato colorbox, il sistema che permette di ingrandire le immagini cliccandoci sopra.

Infine, è stato finalmente risolto il problema di alcune immagini che non venivano visualizzate su Internet Explorer 10.
